Absolutely not true that prices are 20% higher. It's a very simple check. Go to Konzum.hr, biggest online grocery store and search for "mlijeko" (Milk) and you'll see that you can buy it for 0.94€ while Numbeo says 1.10€. Search "jaja" (eggs) and you'll see there are options to buy for 2.39€ while Numbeo says 3.19€."Pileći file" (chicken filet) you can get it for 7.45€/kg while Numbeo says 8.70€/kg

So Numbeo displays everything more expensive than it actually is. At the same time the official average salary is at least 100€ more than what is written here.

Zagreb native here, just wanting to say that these prices are not realistic any more. Due to inflation and switch to Euro, in 2024 you should count on adding about 20% more to the prices here.

Where in Zagreb you can get Coke/Pepsi (0.33 liter bottle) for 15.49 kn in a restaurant? And they say from 10 to 20 kn LOL for a cola in a restaurant?? I have never seen int lower than 20kn for 0,25l. The lowest you can get is 18kn in a low range restaurant ... Who on earth are "4095 entries in the past 12 months by 407 different contributors", Do they live in some parallel Zagreb?

I lived in Croatia for about 2 Years Zagreb exactly i worked in the building trade as s knaufer or gyproker IT was Well paid in croatian standards i will definetly move back,in Sydney australia now lifestyle is Way better in Zagreb the money is good here but very expensive compared to Zagreb i also Had no problem finding work in this field while living in Zagreb And was Lucky enough to have come across really good croatian people

Born and raised in Zagreb. The landlords that rent out overpriced "luxury" places in the city centre are scammers. After 2 earthquakes those "luxury" places really showed their colours- they are falling apart and no one is renovating them at all, so not only would you be paying thousands of kunas for a cupboard sized apartment, but you would also be risking your life as some are older than 2 centuries.

Don't come here unless you can afford the podsljeme zone really.
