The Gulf of Mexico, Sarasota’s shore location, has experienced ten (10) hurricanes within the last 10 years. Is severe wind storm considered as a mitigating, weather factor?
Additional issues effecting “Quality of life” in Sarasota and the entire state is the “Baby boomer” migration and compounding, population density.
The challenge remains in each respective season, either to avoid exposure to the heat, humidity and insects during summer and/or avoid the onslaught of seasonal overpopulation/traffic during the winter months. (Hope this helps, I’ve lived here for the past 20 yrs and considering the latter seasonal impact on quality of life, well….)
