Welcome to azerbaijan where poverty is at an all time high. Don't worry about these results, it's made up by an authoritarian gov't ruled by a husband and wife. Be careful though, speaking negatively about the dictator could land you either in prison or dead. Don't believe me? Do your own research on the world wide web which azerbaijan also has zero access to. let's also not forget the genocide and ethnic cleansing they committed while also stealing culture and trying to call it their own even though they never existed before 1918. Sure, I'll have this comment flooded with azeris claiming that I'm bs-ing but again, all of this information I'm speaking of is online by the same journalists who get constant death threats and refuse to go back to that country as the dictator just wants to lock them up in prison. ^_^ HAVE FUN!

These values look good. It depends on where you shop but these look like the averages. Baku is a reasonably priced place to live.

every guest who comes needs help and we have to help them. as an Azerbaijani, I am very happy to help. Happiness isn't just about money. It's more important to make real friends in life. I will be very happy to defend it. to reveal the beauty of Azerbaijan to every person who will come. Don't worry friends. There are many more friendly people in Baku. welcome my country dear friends. I wait every one.

Hi everyone, Azerbaijan is very suitable for doing business especially for foreigners. Rights of foreigners are strictly protected. Azerbaijan is a oil rich country and it really keeps the country running and making progress economically. I studied at the University of Manchester in United Kingdom. I quit my job in 2020 and started my own business in Ganja city which is located at the west of Azerbaijan. Weather in Ganja is clean and suitable in every season. There is not nightlife in Ganja as in Europe cities but there are restaurants where you can easily find yourself relaxed. There is really one difference between Azerbaijan and other countries in the world: the crime rate. There are always crimes are committed in the world. But I see Azerbaijan the most safe place in the world. I remember when I was in UK, many of my friends were robbed and beaten. But in Azerbaijan you can have fight with someone if you really want to ;) I love Azerbaijan and this country is really for people who want to start a new page in their life. I see many comments about corruption and I agree with that but even in United Kingdom I saw corruption) So if you get along with it you can live in this country and for foreigners it is heaven.

How is the healthcare and where do you get health insurance for foreigners?

To everybody interested to come to Azerbaijan:
People are more hospitable compared to the West. Earning 2000$ a month is more than enough for 1 person. In comparison, my dad's salary is officially 250$ but he gets bonuses and it reaches 500$. We are a family of 4. You probably think how we survive here with this amount of money, well we wouldn't survive if my mom didn't get +150$ for a fake disability. There is corruption everywhere in Azerbaijan. Starting from the government ending at schools. Most people here don't speak English properly, only those who really worked hard at school - like me. If you want to choose a place to live, I can suggest only two cities - Baku and Sumgait. Other places are too boring in the opinion of a person who's been living in Baku for their whole life. I didn't know so many foreigners were trying to move here, I'm planning to move to Europe to study in 4 years.

#Anonymous of course Azerbaijan allow immigrants I've seen plenty of immigrants during my time in Baku, from places like the middle east and Western Europe.
Flyboy_CH on Dec 30, 2020:
Prices above are more or less accurate. Am from Switzerland been living here in Baku for the past year. Foregoing imported western products, being a smoker and indulging in red wine every day, the grocery bill for the month including cigarettes and wine roughly 900 manat for 2 adult persons. I would say that half of that amount is just on wine and cigarettes. Renting a 70sq.m fully furnished apartment in Central Baku 1 minute away from the Four seasons Hotel in Azneft for 550 manat, utilities 80 manat for the month, winter time, half that during summer. Make use of taxi apps such as Bolt.Business lunches are quit reasonable between 12 and 15h00 usually, between 10 and 15 manats, obviously there are places that are cheaper. Lovely city, people friendly enough.Customer service great compare to Tbilisi, Georgia. Definitely worthwhile to visit or even relocate to for some time if the opportunity presents itself.

Hi. Being a turk probably will not give you any advantage. Most of the time you will feel as a normal citizen. 2000 USD is a very good amount for 2 person, so you will fell yourself very confident.

ı May move to Azerbaijan next year ( would be this year if there was no covid 19) i will earn about 2000 USD. Planning to rent a furnished apartment with two bedrooms in downtown. I have a normal lifestyle. is this amount enough to live and save for a married couple with no kids. By the way, i am turkish. is being a turk in azerbaijan give me any advantages or disadvantages?
