it's okay till your kid needs to go to school basic math is as follows, rent is between 7 - 10k for mid range 2 bedroom, healthcare insurance is relatively cheap (I am surprised you company doesn't cover it), Schooling is the issue, brit schools are about 5 - 6K a month. so good for you to come save like about 2K pounds a month till your kid is of schooling age then go back
With regards to the comments re LGBT , you should remember 1- LGBT ‘rights’ are not universal values and 2- the UAE is a Muslim country . If you are so concerned about LGBT rights then you should leave the UAE and live in France or another European country
Dubai is one of the safest places to live in the world. It's multicultural with all different races living and working together with no issue. From Dubai, you can travel to almost anyone on earth with one to two flights max. There is food from around the world too. We also have religious freedom here and English is widely spoken. Whilst yes, Dubai has some LGBT+ issues, and press freedom to an extent and it gets very hot during the summer. I cannot imagine living anywhere else but Dubai.
Do not judge a place based on what others tell you. It is a desert utopia and like I mentioned LGBT+ issues, there are plenty of LGBT+ here that are loved and not punished.

My partner got a job offer from one of the airline with a salary of 45,000 aed basic + extra duty pay + educational cover + health care cover + travel allowance.
Will 35~40,000 aed be enough to cover to the usual monthly running cost of rent (3bedroom apartment, internet tv, electricity and other utilities, grocery etc)

Now it states that the livingcost in Dubai is on an avg 14% cheaper than Amsterdam... Thats totally wrong when you have 1 or more childeren. Just the school fees are around 7000 aed a month. In amsterdam schooling is free and after they turn 18 it will cost roughly 1200-2000 eur annualy.

My advice:
- get experience first in Western countries, especially working in prominent companies, and then as a Senior specialist move to Dubai
- set a threshold that you think is good for a lavish life in Dubai and don't accept nothing below it, otherwise is not worth ... I would say if you come from a Western country (no matter your passport/background) don't accept nothing less than what you're already making GROSS before taxes in your current western country
There is no straight forward answer to this.
The main thing to calculate is :
Where are you from?
I am an indian origin guy in Melbourne.
Home is 14 to 20 hours for me, so benefit of dubai is that i can go home in just 4 hours and go once in a few months.
My friend gets 15k tax free which is similar to what i get after tax here.
If i were to move,
I gotta pay 5k to 6k for an apartment in dubai near my potential employers.
Whereas my 3 bhk house with 2 bathrooms here only cost 4200 aed.
Going to city centre is 35mins in train, which is just 600m away.
My kids can go public school here, but Australian school costs 7 to 8k aed per month.
I can't send them to other schools if certificate is not valid here in case i have to return. Second kid will have another 7k.
So this alone is 21k.
Add living expense then it would be 5k
26k is purely needed to live.
I am still an indian so my skin color and passport will never fetch that salary so i cant move to gcc.
Meanwhile i can make more here with my skills.
What you need to be carefull, as everywhere else in the world, is how you spend the money! There are lots of places to spend money in and how you manage that will interfere in your budget.

Mid class starts from 20-25k
on property prices that are the same as another Muslim country like Kuala Lumpur. Fuel prices are the same and it is not such a rich country with a wealth of citizens. I estimate that the prices are a bubble due to the mediation of banks or entrepreneurs who lend naively expecting a high interest rate.
It is no coincidence that people from countries that are bankrupt are looking for work and are looking for the land of promise.
I estimate that money has gone to the Balkans and Asia is more reasonable in cost of living and real estate purchases.

The same has been done in Thailand Bangkok where the cost of living is about 550 euros with the cost of buying an apartment in the center is 3500-4000 euros.
In Bangkok is the German bank Deutsch Bang with Chinese banks and Russian manufacturers who have even created real estate bubbles. Many Germans, Norwegians marry Thai fakes who transfer all their rights because the law forbids
They are crazy about what they buy or want to launder money from smuggling or drug trafficking. Thailand will lose the quality buyer. The same will happen in Dubai.
While the cost of living buying products is almost the same with differences of about 5% -9% in both Bulgaria, Serbia, Thailand the money you need to live has a huge difference.
If you want send me where you owe the price difference. I am not referring to very expensive areas of Dubai but to popular neighborhoods within the city center.

Now you can rent a 1bhk for even less than 40k AED a year.
