When I read this from Ontario, I was so surprised ad realized how much we have and i have decided to take much more care for the earth

I am appalled at the white supremacy in these posts. “Oh, “these people” have to pay so much for things we take for granted!” First off, white people live here too. Second, before you start showering us with your ill informed pity, maybe look at what we get paid here too. Yes we (as well as most northern communities) spend a ridiculous amount on staples but on the same note our wages and salaries are also high because everyone is getting paid a “large” amount because everyone has to PAY a large amount. My job I get paid $90,000 a year to do what pays $40,000 in Toronto or Vancouver so before you start with your “oh these people are so hard one! The government needs to step up!” BS maybe check your own internalized white superiority: yeah I may have to spend $18 on a meal at McDonald’s, but I also get $40+ an hour so cram your condescending pity.

Nobody cares as long as their families and loved ones eat sleep and stay warm they don’t care this world is done there will come a time when all of the people on this earth will fall to their knees and cry

when I read things such as this article and the prices these people are forced to pay for things that we take for granted on a daily basis I am ashamed of my country and the horrible way in which it treats these people are forced to live! I know how difficult it is for my husband and myself to try to live on a fixed income, but there is a grocery store 10 minutes away by bus! Why isn't our government stepping up and helping these people especially during this pandemic! We need to stop turning a blind eye to the problems that face this country's people and be the people that our forefathers and mothers and our grandchildren and their children's children's children can be proud of.If every Canadian donated 1 dollar to this cause it would truly make a difference especially if the Canadian government matched the donation dollar for dollar!
