Some price estimates are correct and some are exaggerated For your information, most Libyans own homes and the government does not force them to pay water and electricity bills And I am surprised from the comments on the site that the site shows the cost of living and not the life of Libyans and their political problems And I say that life and prices are suitable for Libyans and keep pace with the purchasing power of most Libyans
Akram Ben Ashour on Feb 02, 2024:
Hi, your estimated Data 90% is Real, Average cost of living in Libya raised up in 2024 as an inflation reached to 4.6 resulted of 1 USD exchange rate reached to 6.30 LYD in market recently.

The normal living for Family of four person need at least LYD 4,500 as monthly Expenditures without Rent, School Fees, Car Maintenance & Medical surgery costs.

We are really suffering despite our monthly income of LYD 4,900,

The poverty percentage rate in Libya raised up to %40 in 2023, but most estimated data expect to reach 55% in 2024 if exchange rate kept in this level.

I find your proposed expenses very reasonable. I have a family of 3 kids and I spend as much as 6000 LYD with no rent or morgage and no travel or recreation activities what so ever !. Although my salary is around 4300 LYD I don't know how I provide for the difference :-)

Hi, I find the expenses above are not accurate at all.
I have a family of 6, can live comfortably with average 3 - 4000LD .
