The people flipping real estate don't live here.
At current costs, if you want to be able to plan a life and a future, you wage in Victoria needs to be $44 per hour.
If you're not earning 44, you will have no future here.

The cost of living in Victoria is very high. The housing market is out of control. The wages are low & the city is falling apart and run like a daycare. That being said, they keep coming. I don't know where they are finding the money tree.

The March 24 post is way over the top in its criticism and misinformation. With views like that, no wonder the poster is being ghosted. How about sticking to cost of living facts instead of ranting?

The problem isn't so much the prices themselves, but prices compared to wages here. Food prices are insane, but everything else is pretty normal. But wages are SO LOW, even compared to Vancouver.

Cost of living for a family of four is $4000 without rent ??? That can’t be right ..... has anyone confirmed that ?

These costs of living explain the housing crisis and rate of homelessness increasing and living in parks and public areas.

Sounds like you need to live in your pull trailer. Besides living in a small area will keep you both happy just as long as you're together.

The price off every thing is so high. How do people think we are to live. Not everyone has a very high paying job. It hard when you see every thing keep going up and up but the wages are not any way close to helping. My hubby and I manage a apt bluilding when we go to retired we have to leave the bluilding and the wages to live where. We can't afford any thing on old age penchant. We are puying a trailer and keep working to pay it off so we have something to live in. The next thing is where do we go with it. There something so wrong here. And it fall at the feet of big money.
