Encarnacion is the third largest city in Paraguay. Located in the extreme south, on the banks of the Paraná River, it has beautiful and clean river beaches. On the other bank of the river is its sister city, Possadas, Argentina. A quiet city, with approximately 40 thousand inhabitants, in the summer it becomes a destination for tourists on vacation in search of its beautiful beaches and the tranquility of a small town. There is no violence in the city. You can walk peacefully through its streets and, especially, along Avenida Costaneira, which borders the Paraná River. Equipped with parks and public facilities, it is an excellent place to spend the late afternoon and evening. It has sports courts on the waterfront, as well as bars and restaurants. Healthcare is good, based on public hospitals and private clinics. Public health is a little precarious in relation to the lack of inputs, however private health plans are very cheap and serve well. City without traffic jams, you can travel peacefully. The houses do not have electric fences or barbed fences, which shows that there is no danger of break-ins or robberies. Newspapers and TV do not usually publish cases of violence, which reflects the city's safety. Excellent cost of living, as Paraguay has one of the lowest taxes, at just 10%. Public transport is clean and efficient, although most people have their own vehicle. Possadas airport is used, as there is no airport. It is also 300 kilometers from Asuncion or Foz do Iguaçu, in Brazil.
