Pros:
The Hyderabad metro has definitely improved commuting to any destination. Passengers are generally not rude and give seats for senior citizens, women and Disabled people.

Cons:
1.The city has witnessed a massive boom in the real estate sector particularly in the North and West regions. Anything from overpriced apartments to unfulfilled promises is the nome de rigeour here. For a city that prides itself in being affordable there are flats in costing crores of rupees which are beyond the reach of most middle class buyers.

2.Due to a large number of migrants coming to the city for workor pursuing their academics, many hostels have mushroomed here and fleece their tenants to pay up rent. Though the amount per head is not as high as Bangalore, the hostel management flout norms regularly. Food poisoning is common in even the star-tier PGs.

3.Exorbitant school and college fees highlight the negligence of the Dept.of Education.Government schools on the other hand have many unattended issues such as lack of toilets, late delivery of books, unqualified teachers rooling the roost etc. have pushed parents into debt.

If you stay in good areas you are fine in Hyderabad, I feel Hyderabad has a lot of potential but politicians and other idiots wont let that happen. I have lived in Bangalore, Chennai and Indore, I felt Hyderabad was safest but cant afford to be stupid.

All the comments here seem extremely negative and targeted.

I've lived in Hyderabad for ~2 years now and the areas I've been to (the entirety of Cyberabad, Jubilee Hills, Banjara Hills, etc) are extremely safe and I've walked on these roads even at 3AM with no worry. Women can also take Uber alone post midnight without fear..

Hyderabad is among the worst places to live in India. Most of the Tuktuk drivers in Hyderabad will loot the outsiders and will offer them to gangster travel agents. These drivers will overcharge you and will take very long trips.
Hyderabad is dangerous to walk at night. The roads are filled with criminals and mobsters and extortionists, rapists and murderers roam the Hyderabad streets at night.
Hyderabad is also filled with the Peaceful Community members and it has one of the highest percentages in the country.
The only positive thing about Hyderabad is its food at cheap price, especially the Biryani.

All the software companies have zero work-life balance. Non-IT background "yes men" people are trained to work as submissive self-marketing slaves for money for the First World Countries. All the software companies are indeed the "Dark Satanic Mills" of the modern era. I speak very honestly and frankly.

Hyderabad is a dangerous place and notorious criminals roam the streets at night. Murder, assaults, mugging, extortion are very common in Hyderabad. All the software employees in Hyderabad are useless, unskilled and subjugate sincere people in industries. Hyderabad is among the worst places to live in India.

Hyderabad has plenty of crime happening such as murder and chain snatching

The airport security check staff in India are the worst and the most rowdy mannered in the world for innocent travellers. The Indian government places hoodlums, goons as airport security check staff for domestic flights passengers in India.

Hyderabad is not a safe place. The increasing population is not a good sign of development.

Witnessed an attack very recently.
An autorickshaw tried to attack us, we were inside the car.
As we tried to flee, he followed us at high speeds and smacked his vehicle into our car several times from behind in heavy traffic and tried to stop the car.
How could someone dare to stop some other vehicle in the middle of busy highway to attack??
We took the expressway and finally escaped the situation.
Unfortunately CCTVs aren't there. Bad security and the cops asked for bribe to deal.
The crime index is far away from facts, it should be above 60%
Tej on Sep 01, 2021:
Definitely very unsafe city at night.
The old city, the green parts in the city and even the nearest outskirts are a den of prostitution, violent crimimals, rapists.
No good security systems, CCTVs are rare even on the main highways.
Corruption and bribery are at peaks.
No justice without money.
FOR A WOMAN, IT IS AN UNSAFE CITY JUST AS ANY OTHER INDIAN CITY.

People blindly believe in propaganda these days. All the propaganda and biased incorrect portrayal of India is done by the national and international media. The ground reality is different. India is still a very peaceful country. There is absolutely no reason to panic.
Well, such comments as the ones below are found in other pages too. But they are mostly propaganda/fabricated stories of both the International media and the local Indian media. Never trust any news channel.

There is a growing trend among Hindus nowadays. The Hindutva militants earn their bread and love to permanently settle in Christian and Muslim countries. But these same Hindutva militants spew hatred and bitterly despise all the Christians and Muslims living in India. In sites such as Times of India, Quora, YouTube, Twitter, FaceBook you will find extreme hate speeches from the Hindus and Jews, and both of them they bitterly hate Muslims and Christians. For example, the official stats reveal that the Christian percentage in India is only 2%. And yet you will hear racial slurs against Christians as "Rice bag community". Some of the Hindutva militants want innocent Christians to be hanged. There is written evidence for these statements. Places such as Hyderabad, Bangalore, Gujarat, Mumbai, Pune, Chennai, Kolkata, Indore, Vizag and North India are filled with Hindutva militants.
Raghav on Feb 25, 2021:
It is sad to know that all these things mentioning by other people here are happening in Hyderabad. But Hyderabad has plenty of violent crime.

India can be proud of the IT cell. IT cell is India's only contribution to the software industry in the world. Hyderabad, Pune, Bangalore, Gurgaon, Kolkata and Chennai are filled with Hindutva militants that vehemently hate the Muslims and Christians. The IT cell spreads news and comments that innocent Christians and Muslims should be hanged. All the software companies in India are filled with Hindutva militants to be frank. The Hindutva militant IT cell is found throughout the internet.
