I grew up in mykonos and have been living here for almost 30 years now. These stats are complete bs. The only forms of crime we really seee is hotel rooms and villas getting broken into in the summer and of course peopl taking and dealing party drugs. As for violent crime its pretty much nonexistent. Ive never heard of anyone getting their car stolen or beineg assaulted or mugged. Armed robbery also never happens. Corruption exists in the local government but police for the most part dont take bribes. If you walk alone during daylight in any part of the island I promise you you'll be safe 100%, at night is pretty safe as well although maybe avoid some areas just to be sure.
