Very helpful. As someone who was recently in Natal, I felt very comfortable in Ponta Negra. North side of Natal is rough as Sergio noted.

Hello Anna S,

Ponta Negra is probably the most popular beach in Natal. With this said, you will feel safe in the morning, but at night, the chance to get mugged may increase.

Ponta Negras has a lot of bars and nightclubs. I definitely recommend you to go there.

Ponta Negra/ Capim Macio are wealthy neighborhoods but Ponta negra has a small zone called "Vila de ponta negra" which is pretty dangerous around there (due to drug traffic).

This zone is close to "Corais de ponta negra" which is a known "luxury gated condominium" in Ponta Negra.
