You need to update our crimes rates in Canada, Ottawa area since accepting too much immigrants, and not screening them properly.P eople are turning to violations to make ends
meet to feed their children's. Instead of living 1 family per house or appartment, 2 family must move in with each other to cover the rent. Lot more people are steeling, lots more drug people on our streetas homeless peoole because if drugs, there is more racism now right now in Ottawa, because we don't screen correctly the migrants that we try to help, because their country are at war. I'm a Canadian born person and very PROUD TO BE A Canadian our Country is NOT FOR SALE to Trump

Drastic changes must be corrected for us not to be afraid to live here. If people move to other Countries you must follow their laws if not try another Country people. Home inventions are on the rise, stealing cars is on the rise. stabbing and shooting in on the rise so alot of us True Canadians are scare to go anywhere these days and that's a shame. I
have to lock every thing at my place to feel safer and that an scary thing on it's own after being robbed 3 times at another house of our just 45 minutes to Ottawa. Robbers come and steal stuff that they can sell for different reasons. After 3 robberies we put that house for sale and they rob multiple houses on our dirt road. I was no longer safe to live there. DRUGS action is a big issue that creates us not to go at our usual restaurant, shopping centers and even travel on busses. Screening better Canadians and Immigrants must be reassess. And cost of living needs to go down to get back to normally living for everyone and follow our rules to live in harmony. THAT!

Drug use in Ottawa is strongly correlated with overflowing judicial system, lack of housing solutions, and job stability. It's not suprising that there are those who take drugs in public when they know the police won't arrest them, they are safer outside than in a shelter, and there is nothing better to do than get high. Addiction will always be part of the human condition, but the citizens of Ottawa routinely cast aside & ignore those who can be helped; even just a little.

I grew up in Ottawa, the east end of the city is surprisingly ghetto.

When I talk to people from other parts of the world it amazes me how they did not have the same drug and violence filled upbringing that I had. I was glad to escape.

Ottawa is a nice city but at night I felt in some danger as there were a lot of drug addicts which is such a shame because it is a pretty city. Downtown at night we were approached by a group of junkies which made me feel very uncomfortable and unsafe. Would not recommend solo female travellers to go unless they are trained.

Hello Linda,
The Shaw Centre is located in suburbia heaven.
The only thing to fear is boredom.
