I think climate index is way lower here. Very cold in winter and very hot in summer and all the time dark clouds. City has reputation of being called Grey city due to its dark cloudy weathers. Also with safety index, incidents like fights or traffic rage fights are not uncommon but data is inaccurate due to low reporting

Ankara is one of the most organized cities in Turkey where you can easily drive your car around the city. I can say public transportation is moderate, not the best option but still you can survive. If you have a car its much more preferable. If you earn anything more than $1k/month, I believe you and one other dependent can live with it. The location of Ankara is very convenient, in 3-6hrs of driving you can reach all the sea sides (the best part of the country). The social life in Ankara depends on your personality, if you are a friendly person you can enjoy friend meetings, there are lots of places you can try and they are really nice. If you enjoy more personal time you can take 2hr ride to some really beautiful places on your own and with the loved ones. Hope this comment helps
