For Richard David Hartley: YES, be CAREFUL when contributing to online requests for money, particularly to overseas where you cannot easily verify the situation! I'm not saying the need isn't real, but VERIFY whenever and however you can. If someone requests money for healthcare, for example, look up average medical costs in that city. If you chose to then donate, give only up to the amount listed. (Locals can find deals and better prices than you can.) If they claim to run an orphanage, see what you can find on that organization. But, you have to search. We ALL want to help, but we also must be careful of the many shysyers who WILL feed you a terrible sob story. So check, then recheck -in any way you can - before sending off your money!

I'm wondering how much fraud from these people as I've been approached by a young man for six hundred US dollars .I'm hoping its not a fraud case . He says he has 34 orphans no food no money. I'm their only hope.is there a possibility that I could be scammed? Richard Hartley.
