Not a good city to settle down! In fact least favorite city in Kerala.

Entire Kerala state is extremely famous for its fashionable way of dressing called "Eyes without a face".
While I was in Kochi, I hardly found any good roads. Most roads are filled with metro concrete pillars, with a little asphalt on either sides. And during monsoon, the waters surrounding Kochi completely foods this town especially around Matancherry, Fort Kochi areas.

Most people in Kerala are literate fools. The sheer apathy towards animal rights, the torture towards dogs, elephants are the highlights of the so called "God's own country". Plenty of pseudo-educated people from Kerala work as menial labourers in GCC countries. And nobody likes the sheer NEPOTISM of all you Malayalees. Wherever you go, each if you will bring in hundreds of Malayalees, Kerala folks without any merit. You people are highly disrespectful towards people of other communities. Nobody likes to settle in your "literate" state where one is forced to become a Mallu. 97% of Kerala comprises of only Malayalam speakers. Kerala is the LEAST linguistic diverse state in India along with Tamil Nadu. And the planning is ridiculous in your state given the haphazard stretch of contiguous urban area throughout Kerala including the Western Ghats.

Very interesting and informative details about the cost of living in Cochin. Even though Cochin is a fast growing city of India, the cost of living is not skyrocketing.
